Full House Resorts Congratulates Chair Laura Spurr on Being Named "Tribal Leader of the Year"

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Full House Resorts (NYSE Alternext US: FLL) extends its heartiest congratulations to the Chair of its gaming partner, Laura Spurr, on her selection as "Tribal Leader of the Year" by the Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA). Ms. Spurr is receiving the award today at the NAFOA Winter Conference for Indian County in Las Vegas, Nevada. The award honors two distinguished tribal leaders who have made a difference in their community through perseverance, creativity and outstanding public service.

Ms. Spurr has worked for nearly ten years to place the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi's land into federal trust in order to advance the Tribe and the local community. The initial reservation is the site of the FireKeepers Casino, a new development at Exit 104 of Interstate 94 in Battle Creek, Michigan, where construction has commenced with a planned opening this summer. The facility is expected to open with 2,500 slot machines, 90 table games, 20 poker tables, five restaurants - including a 70-seat fine dining signature restaurant - a 300-seat buffet and 150-seat 24-hour coffee shop, and will have an enclosed 2,078-space parking garage attached to the casino.

Full House Resorts, through its interest in a joint venture, is the manager for the casino and is supervising construction and development for the Tribe. Upon opening, Gaming Entertainment (Michigan) LLC will manage all of the day-to-day operations of the casino and develop marketing and business plans for the FireKeepers Development Authority, the agency of the Tribe which owns the casino.

"I cannot say enough of the efforts Laura has put into this project and her other work," said Full House Chief Executive Officer Andre Hilliou. "She has been the driving force to bring this project to fruition. All of us at Full House Resorts congratulate Laura on her receipt of this well-deserved award."

Ms. Spurr has served on the Tribal Council since June 1999, as Treasurer from 2001 to 2003 and as Chair from 2000 to 2001 and again from 2003 to present. She has worked tirelessly on economic development for the Tribe and is currently concentrating on ensuring employment for tribal members as the casino develops and opens.

NAFOA is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1982 with the mission to improve the quality of financial and business management of Tribal governments, their entities and their businesses. NAFOA provides resources, training and educational opportunities in business and finance to Native people.
